The main operation mode of embedded knurled copper nuts is injection moulding. After heating, they are embedded in plastic parts or directly moulded. If moulding is used, the melting point of PA/NYLOY/PET is above 200 degrees C. The temperature of embedded nuts rapidly increases after hot melting into plastic parts. After injection moulding, the plastic body rapidly cools and crystallizes and hardens. If the temperature of the insert nut is still high, it is possible to pour into the place where the copper nut contacts the plastic parts and begin to loosen or crack. Therefore, copper nuts are used instead of carbon steel nuts in the injection moulding of embedded nuts.

Embedded copper nut's external thread knurling has two ways to form, one is to use copper raw material after drawing forming in the upper equipment for production, generally this way of drawing pattern for straight lines, the other is to use smooth copper material directly in the production process while tapping and embossing, this processing method can produce one. Some non-standard size of knurled copper nuts, embossed with copper nuts embossing shape can be selected by users, such as mesh, eight-character embossing, herringbone embossing and other patterns.

Riveting nut column, also known as riveting stud or nut column, is a fastener used in sheet metal, sheet metal, chassis and cabinet. The riveting nut column has a hexagonal shape at one end and a cylindrical shape at the other end. There is a knife retracting groove between the hexagonal side and the cylindrical shape. Its inner shape is an internal thread. The hexagonal head is pressed into the thin plate by a press. In the preset hole (the diameter of the preset hole is generally slightly larger than the cylindrical outer diameter of the riveting stud), the plastic deformation around the hole occurs, and the deformed part is squeezed into the retracting slot of the riveting stud, so that the riveting stud is riveted to the thin plate, thus forming an effective internal thread on the thin plate.

There is no specific national standard for riveting nuts. The early producers came from the United States and gradually formed today's industry standard after being introduced into China. Most of the domestic producers come from Suzhou in Jiangsu Province and Dongguan in Guangdong Province.
